Hi, I'm Albertus.
I'm a software engineer, husband, and dad to a one-year-old daughter. We live in Kupang, Indonesia.
I've been tinkering with computers since I was a teenager and somehow turned that into a career. I still love making software that feels good to use and disappearing down technical rabbit holes.
Life is bigger now. I want to do ambitious work, be present for my family, stay strong and healthy, and leave enough room to remain curious. Most weeks include lifting weights, a run or two, and more coffee than I probably need.
I work at Speechify, build an AI personal finance project on the side, and write here when I have something worth writing down.

- Speechify. Software engineer since 2022. These days I work across product, infrastructure, and the weird edges where software meets operating systems.
- An AI personal finance project. An experiment in making personal finance require almost no manual bookkeeping.
- This website. My little corner of the internet. No content strategy. Mostly things I want to remember, understand, or share.

Sometimes I write about software. Sometimes work and ambition. Sometimes family, money, or living in Indonesia. There isn't really a niche anymore. That's kind of the point.
